RiskBusiness, the international enterprise and operational risk advisory firm, today announced that it has launched an online subscriber-based software solutions database containing detailed information on more than 30 solutions for corporate governance, Sarbanes-Oxley and operational risk management.
Information is provided for each product on its core functionality, its underlying technology and on the vendor providing the solution itself. This service follows from a detailed survey previously provided in 2003 by Raging Torrents International to some 120 institutions globally.
Commenting on the new service, Mike Finlay, Managing Director at RiskBusiness stated: "Many financial institutions continue to evaluate commercial solutions to their corporate governance and operational risk requirements. Sources of information are varied, but typically do not contain significant levels of detail. This database is based on the standard information which would be required when a vendor responds to a Request for Proposal or Request for Information. As each vendor provides their information in the same standard format and manner, firms using the database are assured of comparable levels of information. The database is also unique in that it is maintained by the vendors themselves, so will remain up-to-date as new functionality is added to products and new customer contracts are won. Vendors can also upload their own marketing materials for subscribers to download and consider. RiskBusiness maintains a constant watch for new products, inviting new players to add their products whenever suitable solutions are identified."
