Mitek Systems, Inc. (BULLETIN BOARD: MITK.OB) today announced that the Company has signed Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) agreements to provide Benchmark Technology Group and EFC Systems with its Intelligent Recognition Suite to automate remote check deposits.

The payment processing industry has undergone rapid change with the introduction of Check 21 legislation last year. The OEM agreements allow both companies to embed Mitek's technology into their next generation check processing applications that enable banks and merchants to decentralize check imaging and processing, further speeding check settlement and funds availability. By deploying Mitek's Intelligent Recognition Suite, quality and fraud filtering solutions, banks and merchants can enjoy exceptional time and money saving benefits by performing these functions at the point of presentment.

Benchmark Technology Group has incorporated Mitek's Intelligent Recognition Suite including QuickStrokes, QuickFX Pro and ImageScore to provide automatic recognition of checks and bank documents scanned directly at the teller line. "By embedding Mitek's distributed capture recognition toolkits into our transaction processing software, STeller, we have been able to provide a fully automated bank teller solution that addresses every possible transaction a teller may perform. It is the most comprehensive and automated teller application on the market. It is unique in that every transaction is balanced in real time at the point-of-presentment; Mitek's strength in intelligent document recognition brings this feature from concept to reality," says Mr. Jack Malinowski the company's CTO. "This technology enables our tellers to take time once devoted to manual data entry and focus on service and value added sales opportunities with every customer."

EFC Systems is an innovator in the distributed check imaging marketplace dating back to 1998 and utilizes the Mitek Intelligent Recognition Suite for image quality and CAR/LAR functionality in its DigiFunds, DigiProof and Prontus applications which provide remote deposit, back room proof of deposit and branch capture solutions. "We look to offer our financial institution, processor partners and corporate end users with solutions that are easy to implement and have improved image quality with reduced data entry requirements," said Mr. Ernie Chappell President of EFC. "Mitek has been a pleasure to work with. Their teams are responsive and their products deliver on the promise of industry leading recognition."

"We are extremely happy to add both Benchmark Technology Group and EFC Systems to our family of Mitek Technology Partners," said Emmanuel de Boucaud, Mitek's Vice President of Sales. "Mitek is pleased to see these aggressive and nimble organizations deploy our technology to capitalize on the recent automation trends in the payment and banking industry."
