Mr. Samurkas is responsible for running day-to-day operations for the organization as well as leading process improvements and customer experience enhancements.

Mr. Samurkas has over 20 years of experience in the payments industry in senior management roles. He most recently led the Canadian business at Chase Paymentech, where he oversaw sales, account management, operations and product teams. Prior to this, Mr. Samurkas was Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer at Global Payments, where he established and managed operational centres in the Asia Pacific region.

In his new role at Moneris, Mr. Samurkas will partner with key areas impacting service delivery, including sales, field services, customer experience and product technology. Moneris currently employs more than 1,800 people in offices across Canada and the U.S. offering innovative, market-leading payment technology and solutions to merchants throughout North America .

Mr. Samurkas holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from McGill University . He is a former member of the Visa Canada advisory board and actively engaged in discussions on industry trends and regulatory matters.
