Kony, the leading enterprise mobility company, today announced it has helped Partners Federal Credit Union provide its members with a mobile banking application that offers differentiated mobile experience and ease of use.

The cloud-based Kony Mobility Platform enables Partners Federal Credit Union to quickly develop and deliver member mobile banking apps, and accelerate membership adoption and growth.

Partners Federal Credit Union is a federally chartered credit union with corporate headquarters in Burbank, California. The not-for-profit financial cooperative offers membership to employees and cast members of The Walt Disney Company and their family members. As a full-service financial institution with over $1 billion in assets with 126,000 members principally in Florida and California, Partners offers its members a full array of financial products, including savings, checking, loans, wealth management and the latest in account access.

The updated Partners Federal Credit Union Mobile Banking App continues to offer core banking functions such as mobile deposits, transfers and bill-paying, but also has more advanced features, including a "Partners Perks" section that gives members access to coupons and deals with local and national merchants, an education portal where members can sign up for money management seminars and download podcasts, and a built-in survey tool that lets members provide immediate feedback.

“We are cast members serving cast members at Partners Federal Credit Union and we needed a mobile platform that offers the creativity and innovation that matches the expectations of The Walt Disney Company cast,” said John Janclaes, president and CEO, Partners Federal Credit Union. “Our members want to do their banking anytime, anywhere, and with great ease. We chose Kony as the centrepiece of our mobile strategy because of their leading-edge mobile platform and their track record of success in different areas of customer service. With Kony, we can delight our members and achieve our vision of making financial dreams come true.”

Partners Federal Credit Union collaborated with Kony to transition an aging version of its mobile banking app to the Kony Mobility Platform, and Partners cast members are taking full advantage of the access and convenience offered by the new app. The pace of on-boarding is strong as more than 1,800 members per month are downloading the new mobile banking application. And since its launch, mobile deposits have increased 20 percent, credit card payments are up 64 percent, and share transactions have increased 34 percent.

With the Kony Mobility Platform, Partners Federal Credit Union rapidly designed and seamlessly delivered its mobile banking app in just seven months. The streamlined workflow has enabled Partners to double their release schedule and deliver new features with a regular cadence. And, Partners looks forward to introducing new mobile features like opening new memberships, applying for a loan, fingerprint authorisation, and push notifications to alert members of new features.

“At Kony, we’re committed to helping organisations in every industry leverage the power of mobility to transform business processes and create new capabilities,” said Thomas E. Hogan, chairman and chief executive officer, Kony, Inc. “Kony has helped many leading global companies deliver value to their customers and gain competitive advantage by providing innovative digital solutions that deliver exceptional user experiences. We are thrilled to see how much success Partners Federal Credit Union has been able to achieve through their mobile banking application built on Kony’s Mobility Platform.”

To share their mobile journey, Chris Parker, chief member service officer, Partners Federal Credit Union teamed up with Jeff Bender, senior vice president, Global Sales Engineering, Kony, Inc. to present at the Gartner Symposium/ITxpo in Orlando on October 16. The session “Beyond Deposits and Statements: The future of mobile financial services” highlighted the Partners Federal Credit Union success story and offered insight on developing a mobile app that goes beyond basic transactions, attracting the younger generation users, and taking mobile banking to the next level.
