DWC takes Lean approach to digitisation

DWC Ltd, the specialist digital consultancy founded by Daryl Wilkinson, former Group Head of Digital Development and Innovation for Nationwide Building Society, has entered into an exclusive partnership with Lean Consulting to help financial and retail organisations transition their branch and store based 'analogue' processes to digital and mobile platforms.

Lean Consulting, led by CEO Cameron Turner, applies Lean Six Sigma disciplines to optimise core business processes, delivering customer experience improvement and cost savings through the identification and elimination of unnecessary tasks and events within a process chain.

The deal empowers both parties to better address their clients’ priorities of digitisation, service improvement and operational efficiency.

Daryl Wilkinson commented "We are consistently asked by operational leaders 'how can I clean up and migrate manual customer facing processes to digital and mobile platforms without disrupting business as usual, and have the program fund itself? Many paper-based processes still sit behind award winning apps. Partnering with Lean Consulting brings the science of Lean engineering together with UX design, it makes perfect sense."

The partnership draws upon the specialisms of both firms to address what Cameron Turner describes as "the very pragmatic challenges facing operational leaders in a digital world, cost savings, customer satisfaction and digital delivery".

The proposition will launch in Q4 2016 and will specifically address the needs of small to mid sized businesses struggling to fund digital transformation while already wresting with a challenging cost base and greater demand for digital enabled, ever mobile, services.
