Espeed names Jonathan Wykes European head, FX sales

eSpeed, Inc. (Nasdaq: ESPD), the leading developer of electronic marketplaces and trading technology, announced today that Jonathan Wykes has joined eSpeed as European Head of FX Sales in London.

Mr Wykes joins from Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein London where he served as Vice President of eFX Institutional Sales, responsible for building DrKW's eFX franchise. In his new role, Mr Wykes will be responsible for eSpeed's European FX Sales operation including relationship management and European customer integration for eSpeed FX.

Speaking about the appointment, Nigel Renton, Managing Director, says, "Jonathan's expertise and track record of success makes him an appropriate leader for our rapidly growing European FX sales team. With his deep knowledge of eFX and the financial markets, Jonathan will be instrumental in continuing to build our client relationships and deliver eSpeed's FX trading capabilities to all tiers of the marketplace."

eSpeed introduced FX trading to its global platform in the 4th quarter of 2003, being the first to leverage the CLS opportunity to create an anonymous electronic marketplace cleared by a central counterparty.
