The installation completed recently provides M&T Bank card customers with surcharge-free access to ATMs at 55 stores in New Jersey; 65 on Long Island, New York; and 48 in Pennsylvania.

"M&T Bank's investment in this expansion of our ATM network signifies our commitment to our customers, and enables our customers to access M&T Bank more quickly and conveniently," said Rich McCarthy, senior vice president for retail banking at M&T. "Our New Jersey, Long Island, and Pennsylvania customers now have convenient and surcharge-free ATM access while on the go across the region with our new presence at Speedway's well positioned retail stores."

Earlier this year, M&T completed a major expansion of its retail branch network in the region by converting 135 branches, including 97 in New Jersey, acquired from the former Hudson City Savings Bank into M&T branches.

Speedway is the nation's second largest company-owned and -operated convenience store chain.

The expansion of surcharge-free ATM access when you use your M&T debit or ATM card in select Speedway stores is made possible through M&T Bank's relationship with Cardtronics, the world's largest ATM owner /operator and a provider of ATM services to Speedway.

"M&T's dedication to be the best bank its customers ever do business with makes it a well-matched branding partner for Cardtronics," said David Dove, President, Cardtronics' North American Business Group. "This latest expansion of surcharge-free ATM access by M&T is proof of its commitment to providing convenient, excellent service with integrity to the communities it serves."
