Fiserv CBS Worldwide announced that the Ministry of Housing in Trinidad and Tobago (MOH) has selected its ICBS core banking and front-end delivery solutions to enable MOH to meet the government's mortgage lending targets.
The Fiserv solution will consolidate several of the government's housing agencies onto one software platform and enable the government's goal of ambitiously expanding lending services over the next ten years.
Fiserv CBS Worldwide's solution was selected because it offered the best functionality and quality of technology combined with the expertise and experience of the Fiserv team. The project involves the consolidation of back-office mortgage processing for all of the government housing institutions and provides increased automation covering mortgage originations, qualifications, customer service and mortgage ownership.
Said Ernest Williams, Information Technology Director, Ministry of Housing of Trinidad and Tobago, "We chose Fiserv CBS Worldwide because of its proven track record and, in particular, its work with the FirstCaribbean International Bank (FCIB) and the National Housing Trust in Jamaica. Fiserv really focused on understanding our needs and became part of our team. They were also better organised and had a true understanding of our business and the markets we operate in. The Fiserv CBS software means we can offer our agencies a state-of-the-art solution that will dramatically improve the quality and quantity of mortgage products that they are able to provide."
Said Dan Alf, Managing Director of Fiserv CBS Worldwide's Latin America, Canada and Caribbean operation, "We are delighted to have been chosen by the Ministry of Housing of Trinidad and Tobago. We are looking forward to working with the ministry to increase their delivery capabilities and manage costs as their mortgage account volumes increase. In addition, this selection confirms our position as the trusted partner within the Caribbean financial services industry. Our understanding of the Caribbean markets and proven experience with 25 Latin American and Caribbean clients, including First Caribbean International Bank, National Housing Trust in Jamaica, and Maduro & Curiels Banks Group, is a core strength that we continue to leverage. We are pleased to add the Ministry of Housing to our client list and look forward to a long and successfully partnership.”"
