Anthemis Group (“Anthemis”), the leading digital financial services venture capital and strategic advisory firm, has announced a strategic partnership with Erevena, a global recruitment and talent advisory firm serving high-growth technology companies.

The alliance broadens Anthemis’ existing talent capabilities with Eravena’s expertise across additional technology sectors including ecommerce, health, edtech, software, and adtech. Erevena’s operations in San Francisco and Dubai also establish new on-the-ground global recruiting centers for Anthemis.

Founded in 2001, Erevena is a leading technology and digital executive search firm based in London. Led by CEO Dan Hyde, the company has 11 partners with deep functional and market expertise. Erevena operates across a broad set of functions from board members and chairs to C-suite appointments, including chief executive officers and functional leaders in finance, marketing, product, technology, people and sales. Erevena’s clients include UK fintech stars Nutmeg and Ebury Partners; leaders in machine learning, Swiftkey; ecommerce giant Worldstores; and global technology firms Zendesk, Duo Security and Mozilla.

Anthemis’ talent practice was founded by Partner Gavin Holland to serve large financial services institutions around the world as well as the firm’s investment portfolio of fintech startups. These talent services will continue and grow through the alliance with Erevena. Holland will serve as a member of the Erevena board while running the newly formed Anthemis Ecosystem Development team.

Erevena CEO, Dan Hyde commented: “The advisory position that Anthemis holds in the global fintech community makes them a natural partner for Erevena. We have always prided ourselves on the depth of relationships with our clients and have been lucky enough to help build some of the most innovative companies in the technology industry. The partnership provides both firms the opportunity to leverage our respective global networks to bring even greater value to our clients.”

Anthemis Partner and Head of Ecosystem Development, Gavin Holland, continued: “We have been working on client projects with Erevena for more than a year with great success, particularly where our financial services and fintech clients want access to their phenomenal network of digital and technology sector-focused executives cultivated over the past decade. Cementing this strategic partnership is a huge step forward in serving our clients and naturally extends the Anthemis ecosystem into highly relevant segments. Bringing the two firms together creates a unique platform, which we believe will make us the firm of choice for technology companies seeking to build next-generation leadership teams unparalleled in their industries.”

Anthemis and Erevena have been jointly tapped as talent partners for Innovate Finance, the UK’s leading membership association for financial technology executives. Through this partnership, Anthemis and Erevena will provide education, training and consulting services to Innovate Finance members who seek to recruit and retain tech talent around the world.
Lawrence Wintermeyer, CEO of Innovate Finance, said: “Talent drives the success of businesses, and this strategic partnership between Anthemis and Erevena will be instrumental to support the growth of technology sectors such as fintech. With their collective strengths, market knowledge and global reputation for excellence, Anthemis and Erevena have combined forces to source high-caliber talent for the world’s most promising technology firms. We are looking forward to working closely with them to support our members as they continue to look for highly skilled employees.”
