Banc Intranets, a provider of secure, web-based enterprise content management solutions for financial institutions, announced that Watertown Savings Bank has selected its BancWorks® employee intranet to maximize the efficiency in managing, accessing and disseminating information across its nine branches.

Headquartered in Watertown, N.Y. and with more than $600 million in assets, the bank sought an intranet to centralize documents and make training materials more accessible to employees, as well as provide a platform for each department within the bank to create and post blogs and educational resources. A team of representatives from various departments within the bank was tasked with selecting an intranet and after considering multiple systems, chose BancWorks® because of its flexibility and functionality, as well as the positive feedback from other financial institutions that are currently Banc Intranets clients.

“There’s so much information today – procedures, policies and more – and distributing all of it to employees and making it available without an efficient archival process is extremely difficult,” said Scott Pooler, vice president and CIO at Watertown Savings Bank, “BancWorks stores our essential information in an organized manner, making it easily accessible and searchable for everyone who uses it.”

“To continue supporting the needs of customers, a bank must have adequate systems and capabilities in place to educate and train employees,” said Mark Anderson, CEO of Banc Intranets. “By prioritizing efficiency in how internal information is distributed, Watertown Savings Bank is strengthening its internal processes, building upon its existing foundation of supporting the financial needs of the communities it serves.”
