SunGard today announced that Genesis Housing Group has selected SunGard's AvantGard for its treasury operation.
Genesis selected AvantGard to support the Group's treasury management requirements arising from its housing association activity in London and in the south east of England. AvantGard will be deployed to collect data from across the Group for centralised cash liquidity forecasting.
The selection of AvantGard was based on the solution's ability to deliver the best fit to Genesis' requirements, such as AvantGard-Integrity's ability to connect with banking software and to provide a global reporting tool, efficient deal capture and derivatives handling. Also important to Genesis is AvantGard-Integrity's open platform architecture which provides the flexibility for the solution to grow alongside Genesis' business.
Paul McCurry, treasury manager at Genesis, said, "The group chose AvantGard over competing products due to its user-friendly design, its range of functionality and the provision of user training tailored to meet our specific needs. SunGard is a world leader in financial software and processing solutions and we are confident in doing business with a company that has such a significant resource base and vast breadth of experience."
Martin Boyd, executive vice president, EMEA, SunGard's AvantGard business unit, said, "Genesis Housing Group, among other activities, works with local authority boroughs on the provision of permanent and temporary accommodation and generating matched community funding and therefore has a specific requirement for cash management and liquidity forecasting. AvantGard will meet this requirement by providing advanced cash and derivative management and forecasting tools. We look forward to partnering with the Group through its future development."
