The two companies are thereby continuing their long-term partnership, focused on developing and implementing the most innovative and secure technologies, with the integration of one of the most modern and efficient solutions in the digital payments landscape. At the same time, MasterCard and Orange Romania are reaffirming their joint efforts meant to promote electronic payments, as well as to broaden and diversify the array of digital payments available to consumers locally.

The enablement of MasterPass™, scheduled for completion in March this year, will provide consumers with a simplified payment experience through their MasterPass digital wallets; by simply clicking or tapping the “Buy with MasterPass™” checkout option, users will no longer be required to fill their address and card details when making a payment.

MasterPass™ is currently present in 29 countries worldwide and has recorded, in-between March and September 2015, a monthly average increase of 40%, in terms of number of transactions, thereby proving the consumers satisfactions with the product.
