Paysafe, a global payments provider, today announced that it has become a member of pan-European membership organisation, Vendorcom, to connect with key stakeholders in the payments community.

Vendorcom promotes innovation through collaboration and provides a range of opportunities for knowledge sharing within the payments industry. Through Vendercom, Paysafe will help the payments community to better understand and more effectively meet market needs.

Commenting on the membership, Andrea Dunlop, CEO Acquiring and Card Solutions at Paysafe said: “Payments exist in an ever changing eco-system, where there is increasing demand for innovative companies to provide solutions that challenge outdated traditional players. Our membership with Vendorcom and its member organisations reflects our increased commitment to growth in the European market for our core Payment Processing business. We look forward to sharing knowledge with other industry leaders, ensuring that collectively we drive the industry forward in a way which benefits all stakeholders – consumers, merchants, payment providers and regulators.”

In Europe, Paysafe is one of a select number of financial institutions granted principal membership for merchant acquiring by MasterCard Europe and Visa Europe. That means Paysafe can provide merchant accounts in the UK without the need for third-party banks, enabling a very competitive service. Globally, Paysafe works with a number of acquiring partners to ensure maximum flexibility - matching retailers with an account which best suits their individual needs.

Vendorcom Chairman Paul Rodgers said: “We’re delighted that Paysafe has joined our growing membership base. Paysafe’s innovative approach to payments in Europe will provide added value to the knowledge sharing that we drive through our events and discussions, and we look forward to working with Paysafe and our members to drive further innovation in the payments industry.
