It allows consumers and companies to send and receive instant payments within 5 seconds, 24 hours a day, any day of the year. The design caters for growth in volume and in value, right from the start.

The Dutch Payments Association invites stakeholders for a market consultation to collect feedback on the requirements and design of the Instant Payments infrastructure. The main purpose of the consultation is to validate and improve the design for the Instant Payments clearing and settlement layers. The scheme layer is based on the SCT Inst Rulebook in the making by the EPC, as the infrastructure aims to be interoperable across the euro zone. The consultation consists of a review of the requirements and a set of open questions to be answered by stakeholders.

Stakeholders can participate in this market consultation by submitting an online application form on the Dutch Instant Payments webpage (in English). The deadline for application is February 23rd, 2016.
