DataSynapse, Inc., the fastest-growing provider of adaptive grid infrastructure solutions, today announced that its FabricServer adaptive grid infrastructure software is now certified to run on the open source JBoss Application Server from JBoss, Inc.

Organisations using the JBoss Application Server environment to create mission-critical applications can now run them on a grid using FabricServer to gain improved application resiliency, responsiveness and resource utilisation.

DataSynapse's next-generation infrastructure software, FabricServer, was designed to virtualise high-volume transactional applications to run on a shared computing infrastructure or grid. Using policy-based adaptive provisioning and scaling of services, FabricServer optimises transaction processing by dynamically provisioning application workload at peak run times. The result is a centrally managed, highly scalable and agile infrastructure that can eliminate performance barriers, speed application processing time and enhance service levels.

"JBoss J2EE platform users are looking for lean and powerful solutions to increase performance levels across the enterprise," said Mark Mszanski, EVP of worldwide operations for DataSynapse. "With FabricServer, JBoss users can easily scale transactional applications on the fly by sharing workloads among available system resources, without adding cost and complexity to the infrastructure."

The support for JBoss Application Server technology extends the market opportunity for DataSynapse's solutions supporting Web-based and service-oriented applications operating in heterogeneous server environments. Out of the box, FabricServer simplifies the management of these distribution applications for improved availability and uptime. Capable of virtualising leading application server environments, including BEA WebLogic, JBoss Application Server and Oracle 10g Application Server, FabricServer helps organisations drive new levels of business performance, significantly increase service levels and lower total cost of ownership.

"By combining the strength and flexibility of our mass-market open source JBoss Application Server and DataSynapse’s FabricServer infrastructure software, joint customers can experience incremental performance and throughput from transactional applications with greater control and less complexity," said Tom Cooper, vice president of channels, JBoss, Inc. "FabricServer virtualises the application server environment, enabling our customers to achieve a more agile, responsive and competitive business."
