Level39 member Behavox, which provides solutions for compliance officers and forensics teams to detect cases of market abuse and fraud, has named former FSA regulator Alex Viall as the new Head of Regulatory Intelligence and former RBS surveillance director Paul Dean as Global Head of Product.
Viall will lead Behavox’s regulatory team that works closely with major investment banks, hedge funds and trading houses. Viall will also use his experience to lead relationships with regulators.
Prior to his position at the FSA, Viall was a compliance officer at a global securities house. He co-founded Complinet in 1997, the leading resource for compliance and regulatory professionals which was acquired by Thomson Reuters.
Behavox has also added Paul Dean to their team. Dean is taking on the role of Global Head of Product and will work closely with investment banking and buy-side customers to refine the company’s behavioral analytics solutions.
Paul has extensive and relevant experience as a pioneer in software product development for the financial services sector. He co-founded Orchestria where he was also head of product for today’s market-leading communication surveillance solution. Prior to joining Behavox Paul was a surveillance director at leading financial institution RBS.
