As part of FreedomPay’s expansion, Microsoft Corp. will provide undisclosed funding and professional services to deliver FreedomPay and Microsoft commerce solutions on Azure.

With this collaboration, FreedomPay offers end-to-end protection for credit card payments made through FreedomPay’s Commerce Platform, which is supported by Azure. The FreedomPay Commerce Platform is the world’s first PCI-Validated P2PE payments solution with EMV, NFC, DCC and real-time data capabilities that can deliver on a global scale.

Operating on Windows 10 and fully supported by Azure, enterprises can choose from a vast array of integrations across point-of-sale devices, payment processors and financial institutions, providing unparalleled protection for all payment transactions. FreedomPay’s innovative commerce technologies are transforming today’s omni-channel shopping experience across the retail, hospitality and restaurant ecosystems; in-store, on-line and on-mobile. Available anytime, anywhere, on any device.

“The Microsoft Azure cloud platform allows FreedomPay to deliver enhanced security, scalability and access to real-time data above and beyond anything available in the market today,” said Christopher Kronenthal, chief technology officer at FreedomPay. “Microsoft is unique in its ability to offer us a hybrid cloud strategy, enabling FreedomPay to deploy the industry’s most comprehensive payment security standards and transactional data services to merchants, ensuring an enterprise path to supporting transaction numbers in the billions.”

FreedomPay’s ability to quickly scale their solution to support the needs of global clients has attracted industry leaders like Compass Group, the world’s largest foodservice provider and other global enterprises. Operating on the Windows platform, and fully supported by Azure, FreedomPay has developed an industry leading, secure and flexible payment platform to support any merchants’ expanding global requirements. By utilizing Microsoft’s unique hybrid cloud architecture, FreedomPay can instantly stand up its Commerce Platform across all continents with the assurance of leading edge security and privacy protection.

“Our relationship with FreedomPay will accelerate our customers’ growth in the commerce arena,” said Brendan O’Meara, managing director, Worldwide Retail and Consumer Goods at Microsoft. “FreedomPay’s commitment to payment security, coupled with Windows 10, Azure, and other Microsoft technologies, enables Microsoft customers to immediately realize significant business value while simultaneously addressing their most pressing security and customer privacy concerns.”
