Xignite, the leading provider of cloud-based financial market data solutions, announced today the integration of Xignite market data APIs into SoundHound Inc.’s new Houndify platform, the leading sound recognition and search technology provider.

Introduced today, the platform allows developers to create voice-enabled apps that combine voice recognition and natural language understanding, allowing for the fastest and most accurate results. In addition to Xignite market data APIs, Houndify developers will also be able to access API data from Accuweather, Expedia, FlightStats, and Sportradar.

Xignite market data APIs cover a wide spectrum of market data, from real-time quotes for instruments in any asset class, to historical pricing, master data and reference data from more than 150 sources. By using Xignite’s market data API, developers using the Houndify platform can create voice-enabled apps, products or services that let users search for historical and real-time stock quotes. For example, a user could ask, “What was the stock price of Apple and Google on December 1st of last year?” followed by, “What is their market cap?” and the app will speak the answer.

“Similarly to how Xignite is revolutionizing the financial services industry by making it easy and simple for developers to create innovative fintech applications, SoundHound Inc. is revolutionizing the way people interact with devices, information and services,” said Stephane Dubois, Xignite CEO and Founder. “Real-time market data is now consumed by professionals and average consumers on billions of devices worldwide. We are excited to see the first voice-enabled products that will let users verbally ask for and receive a stock quote based on our market data.”

“Xignite is recognized for their expertise and leadership in fintech, and we are thrilled to be partnering with them to make their best in class approach to real-time market data accessible to anyone, anywhere through our Houndify platform,” said Keyvan Mohajer, SoundHound Inc. Founder and CEO.
