NCino, the leader in cloud banking, announced today that $1.6 billion First National Bank of Santa Fe (First National) has selected its Bank Operating System to standardize its commercial lending processes and boost the bank’s overall customer experience.

Having united three once distinct bank charters, First National still maintains a unique brand in each respective community: First National Denver, First National Santa Fe and First National Rio Grande. However, the newly organized bank wanted to unify their collective loan production processes and gain broader visibility across the entire institution. Through nCino’s Bank Operating System, First National can forge a congruent credit culture and create new efficiency around consistent workflows. The platform’s centralized document reporting and fully integrated customer relationship management (CRM) will afford First National the transparency to also provide a more responsive, informed borrowing experience.

John Asbury, president and CEO of First National, explained, “We had three legacy systems in place, yet needed an end-to-end loan origination system that could transition us into a paperless environment to enhance worker productivity while simultaneously uniting disparate environments. With nCino, these matters are addressed, plus we gain quality tools for tracking key performance metrics as well as an improved internal control environment.”

As the largest independent bank operating in New Mexico, First National required a solution that could scale to support its growth-oriented objectives. nCino’s cloud-based model will enable the bank to not only fulfill loan requests at a faster rate, but also improve operating costs, easily adapt to regulatory changes when necessary and more proactively address growth opportunities via real-time views into the loan portfolio.

“Even though First National maintains three individual brands, that doesn’t mean its internal procedures have to be fragmented,” said Josh Glover, senior vice president of community and regional financial institutions at nCino. “With nCino’s Bank Operating System, First National will be able to standardize and combine workflow processes, while still allowing the banks to preserve their individual identities. The bank’s soon to be unified operating environment will further enrich how each of its brands can provide local businesses quick access to funds and superior service throughout the lifestage of their loan.”
