This competition aims to identify innovative and potentially disruptive technological ideas and solutions to support the transformation of the banking industry. The three winners below have been chosen from a short list of 15 Regional Finalists by a panel of UBS business and technology leaders as well as external experts. These participants were carefully selected from more than 600 submissions from 52 countries.

  • Aesthetic Integration Ltd.
  • AimBrain Solutions Ltd.
  • Cryptosense SA

These three Regional Winners will participate in the Global Final taking place on 10th December in Zurich. Each of the Regional Finalists was taken through an intensive two-day process, which included a day of coaching from UBS experts and business partners to help them further refine their submissions and to prepare their final pitch presentations. The following day the Regional Finalists had to pitch their ideas to the panel of judges. They faced detailed questioning from the judges, before the final decisions were made. The UBS Future of Finance challenge has been delivered in collaboration with several of the leading Fintech crowd-working and accelerator spaces including Level39, JFDI.Asia, NUS Enterprise @ BLK71 and the innovation agency, 100%Open. Rewards for the regional and global finalists include cash prizes and acceleration opportunities worth over USD 300,000, as well as over 300 hours of dedicated coaching and mentoring from UBS experts and business partners.

'I would like to thank every entrepreneur and start-up who entered the Challenge. Above all this process has demonstrated the Fintech sector is maturing rapidly to deliver real value to our clients and the broader financial services industry.'
Christopher Murphy, global co-head of FX, rates and credit and Regional Final judge
