Visa names Eduardo Coello group executive, Latin America and Caribbean region

Visa Inc. (NYSE: V) announced today that Eduardo Coello has been appointed Group Executive of Visa Inc. for the Latin America and Caribbean (LAC) region, effective September 1st.

Coello, a 15-year veteran of Visa, will be responsible for all of Visa’s operations in the region including regional business development and client relationship management with financial institutions, merchants, and partners across 44 countries in LAC. Eduardo Coello will report to Ryan McInerney, President of Visa Inc.

Coello has served as Group Country Manager for the Greater Latin America and Caribbean (GLAC) region, at Visa, since 2013. Prior to this he held several leadership positions including Country Manager for Visa’s Mexico operations. Coello will bring many strengths to his new role with a proven track record in client management, merchant relations and new business acquisition among other achievements.

Born in Mexico City, Coello received his degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Monterrey Technological Institute (ITESM) in 1987. He completed his Master’s Degree in Business Administration at Instituto Panamericano de Alta Dirección de Empresa (IPADE) in 1997.
