Vermilion Software, a leading global supplier of client reporting and communications software, announces the latest stage in the global rollout of its platform to Robeco Institutional Asset Management B.V. (Robeco) - the adoption of the ‘FundsXML’ open data distribution system that will enable the asset manager to continue to expand its global presence and shorten its time to market with accurate fund information.
Robeco can now distribute fund data to all global fund platforms in the market standard FundsXML output, via the Vermilion Reporting Suite. Global distribution is driven from existing factsheet templates that will ensure ease of maintenance and delivery oversight.
FundsXML is seeking to become the established standard for mutual fund information exchange. The working groups under the FundsXML Standards Committee (FSC) are looking to expand the scope of the open and free of charge file format that enables the data exchange process to be fully automated.
Vermilion’s V:XML framework facilitates the distribution and dissemination of data in industry standard, regulatory and custom formats. The framework operates in a secure workflow-controlled environment, ensuring accurate and complete data prior to distribution, with full audit trail.
The framework forms part of Vermilion’s ‘V:Utilities’ service, that empowers clients to automate traditionally manual processes (such as consultant questionnaires and client templates through MS Office Vermilion add-in facilities), as well as automating the distribution of data in market standard outputs, such as Funds XML and FpML.
