Wincor Nixdorf adds three to board of directors

The Supervisory Board of Wincor Nixdorf AG has appointed three additional members to the Board of Directors, who will join Chairman Karl-Heinz Stiller and Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Eckard Heidloff effective 1 October 2005.

Philip Mantle, 55, who in his current position as U.K. general manager is responsible for Wincor Nixdorf’s largest subsidiary based on sales, will be responsible for the global banking business at the start of the fiscal year 2005/2006. Jürgen Wilde, 58, who has been a member of Wincor Nixdorf's senior management team since 1999, will take responsibility for the retail solutions business. Stefan Auerbach, 42, also a member of this management team since 1999, will be in charge of the global services business.

CFO and Deputy Chairman Eckard Heidloff will take on an additional function as Chief Operating Officer (COO) responsible for production and logistics worldwide. The aim is to strengthen the global production network of Wincor Nixdorf at its locations in Paderborn, Singapore and Shanghai by providing globally competitive structures and near-to-market production.

Moreover, Wincor Nixdorf has appointed country managers to give even greater priority to growth markets in the Americas and Asia as part of the Group's global strategy. Javier Lopez-Bartolome will be responsible for the Group's business in North America and Latin America, as well as in Spain and Portugal, and Lim Khoon Hong will be responsible for the Group’s business in Asia.
