MePIN partnership targets Philippines

MePIN, the global online user authentication and transaction authorization provider, has signed a partnership with Trends & Technologies (TTI), a leading Solutions Provider and Systems Integrator for Information and Communications Technology in the Philippines.

It is anticipated that fraudsters will focus on online payments next given the ongoing preparations of banks and credit card issuers in the Philippines to shift to EMV chip cards. Payment providers need to improve their online systems to protect themselves and their customers against fraud. MePIN provides a convenient user authentication and transaction authorization solution utilizing smartphones, while supporting also legacy users with SMS codes.
