CST Brands is to run Canadian ATM services and roll out new machines on behalf of Cardtronics’ Corner Store retail client, which has locations across Quebec, Atlantic Canada and eastern Ontario.
Cardtronics’ new portfolio of ATMs in Corner Store locations in Canada will initially rollout with 275 machines in the programme. The contract includes expansion rights for future locations.
As part of a separate agreement with TD Bank, Cardtronics will also install TD-branded ATMs at Corner Store locations throughout each of the listed Canadian regions, expanding the bank customers’ access to free ATM machines in Canada.
Cardtronics already provides Corner Store’s ATM services in the US, since winning the contract there in 2012, with more cash machines being added in growing areas such as Texas, Arizona and Colorado.
Commenting on the deal, CST Brands chief marketing officer, Hal Adams, said: “Cardtronics has been our ATM service partner in the US for many years, and we are looking forward to expanding this relationship internationally with our Corner Store locations in Canada. We believe these ATMs will bring value to our customers in Canada and will provide them with convenient cash access.”
