Kartik joins the company with 15 years of experience in a wide range of fields, including the financial, medical and entertainment industries. He is an expert in building big data and machine learning platforms, analytics solutions, social and collaborative solutions, and cloud and managed services. Venkatesh brings to Trunomi a passion for architecting and delivering secure, web-scale and efficient infrastructure and data solutions.

Trunomi has also expanded its advisory board with the addition of Fred Thiel, CEO and Chairman of the Board of Local Corporation. A serial entrepreneur, Fred provides deep technology industry expertise, strategic advice on generating growth and shareholder value, as well as acquisition strategy development and execution.

“The strategic addition of these experts to our team better position Trunomi to change the face of KYC and data sharing for financial institutions and their customers,” said Stuart Lacey, founder and CEO of Trunomi. “Regulation, data security risks, technology developments and consumer demand are on a collision course that will require organisations to take an informed consent-based approach to the use of customers’ data. Trunomi is poised to give consumers ultimate control of their personal data, allowing them to grant financial institutions permission to access critical information for account openings and transactions.”

Trunomi’s efforts in the space earned it recognition in the 2015 European FinTech 50 ranking, which recognises game-changers transforming the future of finance. The company was also included in the top 10 finalists in the Best Enterprise Solution category of the Benzinga FinTech Awards. At FinovateEurope in February, Trunomi debuted the only mobile app that empowers financial institutions’ customers to control their personal identification data.
