Startupbootcamp FinTech, an accelerator based in London, UK and Singapore, today announced that their FastTrack tour will be coming to MaRS in Toronto on May 28, 2015.

The one-day event is open to innovative, early-stage, Toronto-based FinTech startups looking for expert advice and exposure. Part of the global, award-winning Startupbootcamp (SBC), SBC FinTech is a leading financial innovation accelerator dedicated to helping startups scale globally through direct access to an international network of mentors, partners and investors.

Startupbootcamp selected Toronto, Canada as one of 18 global destinations for its FinTech FastTrack tour after witnessing the recent growth in financial innovation in the region. MaRS, one of the world's largest urban innovation hubs and a key contributor to Canada's entrepreneurial ecosystem, will host the event.

Why should startups apply?
FastTrack events offer a bite-sized glimpse into the value of the Startupbootcamp program. Ten startups will have the opportunity to connect with top mentors, get feedback from other startups and meet the Startupbootcamp FinTech team. One-on-one sessions with local industry experts in the finance, investment and entrepreneurial space will provide advice on how to improve their product, business model and pitching skills. By participating, startups will also gain access to the Startupbootcamp FinTech global community. After the FastTrack tour, Startupbootcamp FinTech will select 10 startups to take part in their three-month intensive 2015 FinTech accelerator in London.

"Being a part of our FastTrack Tour means that startups are on the Startupbootcamp FinTech watch list for life, giving them a greater chance of being selected for one of our global programs," said Nektarios Liolios, MD, Startupbootcamp FinTech. "We encourage startups at any stage in their early development to apply for this unprecedented opportunity to connect with Startupbootcamp FinTech's global community and access worldwide opportunities. "We're thrilled to help bring Startupbootcamp FinTech to Toronto to build on the successes seen in London and throughout Europe," said Adam Nanjee, Head of FinTech at MaRS. "Our FinTech companies have global potential and this program offers important international connections."
