Jack Henry announced today that BCB Bancorp has selected the SilverLake System core processing system to provide enterprise-wide automation.
The Bayonne, N.J.-based bank, which has $1.3 billion in assets, will implement SilverLake through JHA OutLink Processing Services™ (JHA OPS), Jack Henry Banking’s outsourced offering. The bank will also implement the jhaEnterprise Workflow™ process management solution and the goDough® mobile banking platform.
The executive team of BCB Bancorp was seeking a new core solution that could help the bank better adapt to growth, address risk, and improve the customer and employee experience. After being impacted by Hurricane Sandy in 2012, it was also imperative that the bank select a platform that could be managed off-site in an outsourced operating environment. Following a thorough due diligence process, Jack Henry Banking was selected based on the strong integration between its core and complementary products, focus on disaster recovery, and its reputation for industry-leading customer service.
According to Alicyn Perry, chief operating officer for BCB Community Bank, “As we continue to grow and acquire new branches, it is important that our technology infrastructure is able to grow with us. The technology was not the only factor in our decision; we also wanted a vendor whose culture matched our own and that would care about our customers like we do. Visiting with other Jack Henry Banking clients made it clear that they were the right partner for our bank.”
The single sign-on integration between the SilverLake core and complementary products will improve efficiencies for bank employees and customers by enabling separate systems to be accessed using the same credentials, unlike the bank’s current environment where customers have separate logins for online banking, remote deposit capture, and e-statements. In addition, the seamless integration offered by SilverLake will reduce redundant data entry between disparate systems, saving the bank time and resources. SilverLake will also bring real-time transaction processing to BCB’s customers.
Perry continued, “We are confident that Jack Henry Banking’s technology will improve our operations and customer service. Our customers will see improvements to their mobile banking experience through goDough, whilejhaEnterprise Workflow will reduce our bank’s reliance on paper, improve the usability of our various systems, and simplify and automate time-consuming manual processes. We look forward to a long partnership with Jack Henry Banking.”
Stan Viner, general manager of sales for Jack Henry Banking, said, “The number of multi-billion dollar banks choosing to outsource their core processing continues to increase for many reasons, but as BCB’s experience highlights, disaster recovery is a growing top-of-mind concern. Our JHA OPS team will help keep the bank operational and serving customers despite natural disasters or temporary business interruptions. We welcome the opportunity to support BCB Bancorp, and we are confident that the deep functionality of SilverLake and its integrated solutions will help this bank better serve its customers, drive efficiencies, and respond to market demands.”
