Business Objects (Nasdaq:BOBJ)(Euronext Paris ISIN code: FR0004026250 - BOB), the world's leading provider of business intelligence (BI) solutions, today announced that Aegis Mortgage Corporation has standardized on BusinessObjects XI for reporting, performance management, and data integration.

One of the top 40 mortgage lenders in the United States, Aegis has deployed BusinessObjects XI from Business Objects to streamline reporting and ensure consistent data throughout the organization. Aegis selected business intelligence solutions from BusinessObjects XI over reporting solutions from Cognos and Microsoft for its seamless integration of business intelligence, reporting, and analytics. Another key factor in Aegis' decision was the proven reliability and performance of BusinessObjects XI and existing experience among Aegis' developers with industry-leading Crystal Reports.

Aegis, which has originated more than 228,000 residential mortgage loans since 2003, uses Crystal Reports to gain insight into the loan processing flow. For example, now Aegis can analyze and report on information such as the conversion of sales leads to loans, assess loan production by geographic region, branch office, and individual loan officer. Aegis is planning to add dashboards for enterprise performance management and deeper analysis of information.

Prior to implementing Business Objects, Aegis experienced inconsistencies in the way data was reported. Users were unable to access the information they needed and did not have confidence they were accessing reliable and accurate information. Aegis deployed BusinessObjects Data Integrator XI to simplify and automate data extraction from diverse data sources and ensure a single source of timely, accurate, and trusted information throughout the organization.

"The Business Objects products offer the functionality and ease of use we need to identify, analyze, and maintain business information throughout our highly dispersed infrastructure," said Robert Johnson, senior vice president of core technology for Aegis Mortgage. "Now that we have completed the installation of BusinessObjects Enterprise, and we are developing over operational reports using Crystal Reports across all our subsidiaries, our next steps are to move on to performing sophisticated analytics and implementing a comprehensive performance management initiative using the same Business Objects platform and tools. Standardizing on Business Objects will help us to reduce costs, time-to-deployment, and training requirements for both developers and users."

"Like most organizations, Aegis Mortgage needed a flexible business intelligence platform that allows the company to evolve its BI strategy - without the constraints imposed by a limited or partial solution," said Rene Bonvanie, chief marketing officer at Business Objects. "Only BusinessObjects XI offers a single, integrated BI platform that can meet a company's precise strategic needs - from simple reporting to complex analytics, from a single user to thousands - with an integrated, straightforward development environment and the ability to present actionable information to users at every strata of the organization."
