FRS, a leading provider of global risk and regulatory compliance solutions and a business unit of S1 Corporation (Nasdaq: SONE), has appointed Kurt Van Looveren to the position of vice president of products and technology.
As a key member of the senior management team reporting directly into general manager, Alain Tayenne, Mr. Van Looveren will be responsible for leading and managing all aspects of the company's software development activities across its multiple facilities primarily located in Brussels-Belgium, Pune-India and Boston-USA. FRS employs a growing global team of approximately 75 architects, analysts, developers and QA engineers entirely focused on risk and regulatory compliance solutions for financial institutions worldwide.
Mr. Van Looveren's primary responsibility will be to accelerate the enhancement and extension of the company's flagship product suite, FinancialAnalytics. The FRS FinancialAnalytics suite of applications helps institutions to overcome regulatory and compliance obstacles, including prudential reporting requirements, Basel II, IFRS and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX), by leveraging a common data foundation and operational risk management framework to harness financial intelligence across the enterprise.

Mr. Van Looveren's career spans software development and project management for major players in the financial sector; he most recently led the Java and Oracle Centre of Expertise for Real Software and he served as general manager of the Belgian Development Group of EMC2. Previously, Mr. Van Looveren held the position of vice president of Operations for Ubizen Software and leadership and management positions with OLIVETTI and Unisys.
