Sister companies, CUSO Financial Services, L.P. (CFS) and Sorrento Pacific Financial, LLC (SPF), full-service broker-dealers and SEC Registered Investment Advisers providing customized investment and insurance solutions to financial institutions, have hired Bob Millington as senior vice president of information technology (IT).

Millington will help expand CFS and SPF’s industry-leading technology solutions that make investment services easier for clients, advisors, and financial institutions alike.

“We continue to adopt tech strategies that provide advisors, financial institutions and investment clients with a remote delivery system for people on the move”

As senior vice president of IT for both companies, Millington will lead the Information Technology and Business Systems staff to continue building technology products and services that answer the demands of today and tomorrow. “When we look at opportunities at CFS/SPF coupled with ever-changing technology demands, our ability and autonomy to change quicker than our competitors is very exciting,” said Millington in an interview.

Millington has already provided his expertise and leadership on key systems including several remote delivery tools such as a client-to-advisor interactive online profiling tool, remote document capture applications and new eSignature functionality as well as the continued augmentation of CFS/SPF’s mobile strategy.

“We continue to adopt tech strategies that provide advisors, financial institutions and investment clients with a remote delivery system for people on the move,” said CEO Valorie Seyfert. “Having Bob on our team helps solidify our position at the top of the investment program industry in technology. Our goals align perfectly with his capabilities, and everyone internally is already looking forward to what the enhanced team can produce.”

Millington has held senior leadership roles at several companies, including founder at Sterling Technologies, Inc., a manufacturer of electronic trading software for broker dealers. At Sterling, Millington was responsible for business and IT leadership including overseeing all IT operations. Prior to joining CFS and SPF, he was director of IT at the Veterans Medical Research Foundation.
