CardinalCommerce, the leader in payment authentication, and Early Impact, a leading publisher of shopping cart software for Internet merchants, have joined forces in order to conquer e-commerce fraud and chargebacks.
CardinalCommerce's authentication platform, Cardinal Centinel, is now integrated into the latest version ProductCart, Early Impact's popular e-commerce software.
This integration will give ProductCart-powered stores the ability to reap the benefits associated with the 3-D Secure authentication initiatives, Verified by Visa and MasterCard SecureCode. Merchants using ProductCart v2.76 and above can now access these programs quickly and easily by activating Cardinal Centinel via the ProductCart Control Panel.

With the ongoing threat of e-commerce fraud and chargebacks, Early Impact wanted to offer its customers a way to minimize the amount of fraudulent orders received by their stores.
ProductCart users can now easily activate Cardinal Centinel by updating their store's payment options and thus participate in the Verified by Visa and MasterCard SecureCode programs. The only requirement is that the store is configured to use any of the following, popular payment gateways: Authorize.Net, Paymentech, USAePay, and Verisign PayFlow Pro.

Existing ProductCart users can update to version 2.76 for free and begin participating in Verified by Visa and MasterCard SecureCode by adding Cardinal's Centinel service to their store for a small monthly fee.
