Mansfield Building Society selects new QTS mortgage applications interface

QTS, the market-leading supplier of online and mobile banking systems to building societies, has announced the launch of an innovative new system, now in use by its long-standing client, the Mansfield Building Society.

The Mansfield is the first UK building society to go live with the new QTS product, Q-Interface. This allows clients to automatically upload mortgage applications data from the QTS online system into all required areas of the MSS Activate module. This interface removes the need for any manual re-keying of data, which can be costly, timeconsuming and prone to error.

Q-Interface works with all mortgage applications, whether originated directly or via intermediaries, and enables underwriting activity to commence immediately on submission of the application. This new solution eliminates the need for manual input of mortgage applications data into the MSS Activate module and it allows underwriting staff to concentrate on their core duties. When combined with the QTS online mortgage application system, there is a demonstrable improvement in the overall quality of mortgage applications submitted.

Commenting on the project, the Mansfield Building Society Information Systems Manager, Brian Seddons, said “The mortgage application interface from QTS has given us the ability to load application data in seconds, removing an extremely manual and error prone process, and has dramatically improved the efficiency of application processing which in turn has played a major part in the Society’s improved performance this year.” Garry Williams, Managing Director of QTS, said “I am delighted to launch Q-Interface with this new project for the Mansfield Building Society. Our interface to the MSS Activate system will increase our clients’ operational efficiency and capacity by helping to reduce error rates and improve their application to offer timescales. I’m confident that this enhancement to the Mansfield’s online channel will deliver both increased performance and return on equity.”
