Nordic Financial Systems (NFS), the leading provider of technical and business integration services to the treasury industry, today announced Länsförsäkringar Bank has successfully gone live with v6.5 of The Trema Suite after an implementation period of just three months.
Prior to adopting v6.5, Länsförsäkringar Bank's treasury relied on three different finance systems, Excel spreadsheets and manual processes, thus the operational environment was risk-laden and costly to maintain. v6.5 of The Trema Suite will automate these processes, delivering greater efficiencies and straight-through processing and reducing the Bank's exposure to operational risk. Furthermore, Länsförsäkringar Bank will leverage v6.5 of The Trema Suite to consolidate its banking relationships and streamline operations.
With NFS hosting the production servers, Länsförsäkringar Bank will not need to invest in hardware or additional IT specialists and will benefit from high performance and availability at low cost. NFS' Treasury Support Centre, the market's most comprehensive IT and business support service for corporate treasuries, will manage the ongoing technical and business process support of the operation.
Speaking about the project, Jan Ekwurtzel, IT Strategy and Process, Länsförsäkringar Bank commented, "We selected NFS because of its broad service offering and ability to complete the implementation project quickly. NFS consultants combine exceptional treasury knowledge with technical experience at all levels - from hardware to operating systems to individual applications. The consultants were flexible in meeting our needs and as one of the few organizations offering the ASP solution they were a logical choice."
Magnus Lind, CEO, NFS said, "This project is testimony to the strength of our implementation teams and the breadth of their technical and business expertise.
Increasingly our clients are looking to us to host their production servers - this is a trend we expect to continue as the performance benefits, as well as time and cost savings to be realized with this ASP arrangement are phenomenal."
