“The ability to pay friends and family by email, text, or proximity combined with capabilities to pay everyone else without exchanging personal information means that Silouet Mobile Cash provides a secure, convenient payment experience for most situations where cash is normally used.”

“We are excited to test a mobile p2p system that can replace the need for cash in most of life’s situations,” says Tom Lazay, Silouet co-founder and CEO. “The ability to pay friends and family by email, text, or proximity combined with capabilities to pay everyone else without exchanging personal information means that Silouet Mobile Cash provides a secure, convenient payment experience for most situations where cash is normally used.”

Unlike other apps like Square Cash and Venmo, Silouet Mobile Cash allows people to protect their identities and personal information as they make face-to-face payments with strangers and cash-based businesses. Mobile Cash is a fast and convenient mobile payment experience that is ideal for cash tipping and other transactions where maintaining privacy is important, such as payments to Craigslist sellers.

With Silouet’s anonymous payment routing technology, the recipient of a Mobile Cash payment does not need to be a Silouet user at the time of payment so users can pay anyone, anywhere, any time in just a few seconds. Privacy features allow payers and recipients to control how much of their identities they share with each other depending on whether they are transacting with a friend, acquaintance, or a stranger. Because each individual must enroll and confirm their identity with Silouet prior to the actual transfer of funds, Silouet is compatible with banking and money transmitting regulations.
