Computer Sciences Corporation (NYSE: CSC), a leading global information technology (IT) services company, announced today that Kenya-based ZEP-RE (PTA-Reinsurance company) has licensed SICS/nt, CSC's international insurance and reinsurance solution, to administer the company's reinsurance processes.
In doing so, ZEP-RE becomes CSC's first SICS/nt customer in Kenya.
SICS/nt is CSC's object-oriented administration software for assumed reinsurance business for companies operating in the life, and property and casualty reinsurance market. The solution's product suite manages administrative functions including treaty and facultative underwriting, risk management, cession/retrocession, claims handling, technical accounting and reporting on one global platform.
Established in Nairobi in 1992, ZEP-RE is an institution of the Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA) and was established with the main goal of fostering economic growth and development in the region through the trade of insurance and reinsurance business.
