Elavon, one of Ireland's leading card payment specialists and a top five global player, announces enhancements to its MobileMerchant product.

With this, Elavon continues its trend of investment in mobile technology solutions for businesses in the Irish market –strengthening the ability for businesses to accept payments 'on the move' across the country for Android, iPhone® and iPad® users.

Allowing businesses to increase the volume of sales opportunities, MobileMerchant is an innovative, secure, complete payment solution that transforms mobile devices into payment terminals. By connecting a smartphone via Bluetooth, MobileMerchant enables companies to do business anywhere, at any time, and accept Visa® and MasterCard® credit and debit cards and, ultimately, profit. With in-built EMV Chip and PIN, payments can be accepted quickly and securely, bringing peace of mind to cardholders and business owners. This builds on the original launch of MobileMerchant in Ireland and the UK in January 2012 and reflects the increasing demand for mobile payments options in the UK and across Europe.

Improved 'refunds' and 'void' usability
Easy access to transaction history from within the App
