Sofgen Holdings Limited, a leading global provider of IT solutions in and around core banking, has announced the appointment of operations and technology professional Marcel McCann as Executive Chairman of Sofgen UK & Ireland.
Based near Dublin, McCann brings with him over 34 years' experience in bank-related operations and technology, finance, and project management. An experienced executive leader with an outstanding track record of delivering results, his successes span the areas of transformation, technology and information management, enterprise architecture, and operations and facilities management across Europe, the USA, and Asia.
McCann joins SOFGEN from Irish Banking Resolution Corporation where he has served for the past two years as Head of Operations and Technology. Prior to that, he held leadership and management positions with the AIB Group of Ireland.
