Barclays Capital offers US treasury products on BARX on Bloomberg
Barclays Capital, the investment banking division of Barclays PLC, today announced the launch of US Treasuries, TIPS and STRIPS on BARX (Barclays Automatic Real-time Execution), the firm's single dealer electronic trading platform on the Bloomberg Professional (R) service.

The BARX platform targets professional investors and allows users to electronically trade on live prices for the full range of US Treasury related securities. One of the advantages of BARX is that it offers streaming executable prices.
"We want to target the full spectrum of our clients in the US -- money managers, asset managers, pension fund managers, hedge funds and banks," said John Stathis, Head of Sales and Research, Americas. "Our global footprint and our distribution capabilities are greatly enhanced by offering US Treasury products online, and we plan on adding other US products to BARX in the near future."
