This class joins the ranks of four previous classes of university hires all contributing to the growing millennial population at MasterCard.

"37% of the workforce at MasterCard is now millennials when five years ago only 9% was of this generation," said Sarah Bendix, program manager, Global Talent and Acquisition. "We are excited to further develop this program as millennials are becoming a larger part of the global workforce."

MasterCard's Talent Team recruited young professionals from top tier universities across the globe including Cornell University, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Singapore Management University, and Louvain School of Management.

As a technology company in the payments space, MasterCard looks to recruit millennials to not only gain fresh perspectives for product development, but to also bridge generational differences. As digital natives, millennials are a valuable resource to teach executives about social media and the importance it plays in today's connected world.
