SMART-Predict utilizes real time feeds from internal and external sources. The system generates and maintains cash predictions across all currencies and accounts on an intra-day basis and for future value dates. Based on incoming/outgoing messages (SWIFT and other formats) the cash balance predictions are constantly adjusted during the various multiple lifecycle stages of a transaction using the SMART-Predict matching and reconciliation engine. The systems matching criteria are fully user configurable, flexible and rules based.

The system has not only been designed for the use of the Operations unit, but also caters for the needs of the Treasury department. The fully configurable real-time Dealer Monitors display a summary of balance information, which can be broken down by Nostro, Currency as well as to individual trading books level.

SMART-Predict also provides comprehensive search and enquiry tools on details of all individual items and matches, complete with full audit trail. SMART-Predict was originally developed in conjunction with ING Bank in Amsterdam and was first implemented in 2002.
