SafeAmerica CU switches to Corelation core platform

After much deliberation, SafeAmerica Credit Union has made the decision to switch their core processing vendor to a new and innovative company, Corelation Inc. of San Diego, CA.

Though making the decision to switch to a new core vendor is never an easy one, it was SafeAmerica's adamant pursuit of innovation that made them decide it was time for a change.

"Our goal is to not just keep up with new technology, but to be ahead of the curve for our members. It was ultimately determined that to do this, we needed to find a new core processing system that could support our vision for the future: to provide members with the most innovative industry technology available and to be able to evolve as new technology develops. After looking at many other systems, we felt that Corelation was, without a doubt, the best match for us," said Barry Roach, President & Chief Executive Officer of SafeAmerica Credit Union.

Though Corelation is a young company, their incorporation of a standardized system with new technology, modern components and track record of superior client service put them high on SafeAmerica's list.

"Corelation's system best meets our needs in features, function, services and cost. Their modern programming language and database architecture will enable us to create the new products and services that our members desire," said Roach. "The openness of the system will also allow us to source and connect the absolute best-in-class third-party applications on the market for our key member interaction channels, such as mobile banking."

"We are very pleased to have such a forward-thinking credit union as the latest member of our Corelation family," said Corelation President Theresa Benavidez. "Their proactive spirit mirrors our mission to never rest on our laurels but always strive to be better, developing new core technologies that will allow credit unions to enhance their member services - which ultimately increases their value tremendously. We look forward to a long, healthy, and innovative relationship with SafeAmerica."

The official debut of the new core system will happen in early 2015, with installation beginning this midid-summer and testing starting in the fall.
