Iris Financial, provider of advanced trading and risk management solutions to the world's leading investment firms, today announced that Harry Stahl has been appointed to the newly created role of vice president of professional services.

In addition, the company announced that David McIntyre has joined as development director, marking the addition of 12 professional staff members to the New York City office since the beginning of the second quarter of this year.

"Harry brings nearly 20 years of top-tier financial services experience to our rapidly expanding company, including significant time both within institutions like those of our clients and technology solutions companies, giving him a complete understanding of what our clients need and expect," said Michele McGovern, CEO, Iris Financial. "In addition, Harry's experience managing very large global teams of engineers and client services professionals is perfectly suited to the Iris Financial client base – the world's leading global banks and investment firms."

Most recently, Stahl was at the global consulting company Headstrong Services, where he managed and grew the firm's largest investment banking engagement and then assumed responsibility for all financial services delivery in the UK and Northeastern United States.

Prior to Headstrong, he was vice president of financial services for TenFold Corporation where he led client engagements for some of the world's leading financial services firms, delivering solutions for trading, securities lending, institutional billing, and wealth management. In addition, Stahl founded IISA Software, a New York City-based firm that developed technology solutions for financial and relationship management. He also served as assistant to the Chairman of American Express Bank, in charge of that firm's largest private banking clients.

Stahl is a graduate of Harvard College and holds and MBA from Columbia University.

David McIntyre joins Iris Financial from the prime brokerage technology group of Credit Suisse First Boston (CSFB), where he was in charge of their Prime Services Data Warehouse team. Prior to CSFB, he was co-founder and CTO of Data Oxygen, a data cleansing firm serving the financial services industry. In addition, he was a director of risk management technology at BlackRock Financial Management, where he led the Software Engineering Group of more than 50 developers. He also held senior positions in Morgan Stanley’s technology organization, helping develop that firms high yield trading system. He also worked at IBM on various defense technology initiatives.

"We're thrilled to add David McIntyre's technology leadership to the Iris Financial team. His deep fixed income experience, coupled with top-notch technical expertise, are perfect additions to our growing business," said McGovern. "In addition, as we enter the alternative investment space, his intimate knowledge of the prime brokerage industry will be invaluable."
