Nordea has selected iZettle to be its provider of mobile point of sale (mPOS) solutions in Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Finland.
Nordea is the largest financial services group in Northern Europe. iZettle is Europe's No.1 provider of mobile payment services and apps - from credit card readers that transform smartphones and tablets into cash registers, to software tools for increasing sales.
Under the cooperation agreement Nordea will promote iZettle mPOS solutions to the bank's small business customers on its website nordea.com and in its 800 branch offices throughout the Nordic region.
"iZettle is all about sales for small businesses - making sure no sale is ever missed, and that sales data can be used to generate even more sales," said Jacob de Geer, iZettle co-founder and CEO. "Great partners like Nordea give us the access and support we need to achieve our ultimate goal of helping small business prosper."
iZettle started in 2011 offering an easy way to take card payments. Now small businesses also come to iZettle for tools to grow their business: from a complete point of sale solution, to free sales overview tools like reports and graphs to spot sales opportunities and identify loyal customers.
iZettle takes just minutes to set up, and works with all major payment cards. With iZettle there's no subscription, set up fee, monthly fee or minimum. Instead, iZettle merchants pay a small percentage of each transaction. iZettle then electronically deposits payments in the seller's bank account.
Sweden's Financial Supervisory Authority regulates iZettle, whose services are EMV (Europay, MasterCard and Visa) approved and compliant with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS).
Today, iZettle's app, Chip & PIN and Chip & Signature readers, and free business management software are available in the U.K., Spain, Germany, Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Finland, Mexico and Brazil.
