One of the core tenets of Anthemis Group is to nurture and develop our growing ecosystem of entrepreneurs, executives and thought leaders who are passionate about improving the financial services industry. Our Fellowship programme is an extension of this endeavour.
It is a one-year journey through the Anthemis ecosystem for the best and brightest disruptors of any age to gain context, training, experience and mentorship while developing, testing, and then potentially launching their own unique contribution to changing any aspect of the financial services industry.
We are not just looking for someone that would make a good member of the Anthemis community. An Anthemis Fellow is someone who has a proven track record of dramatically improving everything they have been involved in, someone who identifies problems and then works to fix them, someone who brings creative solutions and ideas to the table, someone with passion and drive…in short, a superstar.
We believe that it is essential to invest in people who can drive positive change in the financial services industry and our mission with the Fellowship is to equip a small number of highly talented individuals with the skills, experiences, and perspectives to enable them to then flourish.
How does it work for the Fellow?
Each Fellowship will be customised to suit the individual; the default programme is designed for a period of 12 months:
-four months spent at the Anthemis office in London
-four months with one of our portfolio companies
-four months with a major financial services firm.
The choice of the appropriate startup and incumbent firms will made in the context of the Fellow's thesis project and capabilities.
Each Fellow will have a thesis project to complete and then present at the end of their Fellowship. This could be a research paper or a design project or a business plan or product (software) development - the form should play to your skills and interests, so long as the substance is relevant and the ambition is excellence. Insofar as needed, we will work with you to refine and define the scope of your deliverable in the first months of your Fellowship.
Each Fellow will receive a monthly stipend of [EUR2000] and we will endeavour to help you as needed with travel and lodging. The Fellowship is a full time commitment and runs for 12 months starting in September, and Fellows should also be available to attend the Anthemis #HackingFinance Retreat from July 10-13, 2014 in Meribel, France.
