Aquis Exchange, the subscriptions-based European equities exchange, today announced that Richard E T Bennett has joined its board as an independent non-executive director.
Mr Bennett spent over 30 years at HSBC, most recently as Group Managing Director and General Counsel for the global top 10 organisation. He is also a Special Adviser to the Parliamentary Treasury Committee and a consultant to the global executive committee of legal firm Norton Rose Fulbright.
The Aquis Exchange board is chaired by fellow independent non-executive director Niki Beattie.
Commenting on the appointment, she said: "We are honoured that Richard has agreed to join the Aquis Exchange board. He brings with him a wealth of expertise from the very top of the global financial services industry and his contribution will be invaluable to us as we build on our successful launch and roll out our subscription pricing model across Europe. His international experience will be particularly helpful as we seek to sell our technology to banks, brokerages and exchanges across the world."
