Sopra Banking Software has successfully implemented an electronic money platform at Transactis - the first French electronic transaction hub - for Société Générale, La Banque Postale and Crédit du Nord.

This fully operational platform uses Sopra Banking Cards-Issuer for contract and support management, as well as associated payment and withdrawal activities.

In 2008, the creation of Transactis, a common electronic money platform for Société Général and La Banque Postale, allowed a common transaction system. At the end of 2012, Transactis was already managing two billion transactions per year for both banks.

In the course of 2013, Transactis further pursued its integration paths with the transaction contracts of La Banque Postale and Crédit du Nord.

In November 2013, this operation was successfully completed, and from that point onwards, Transactis has been managing contracts for Société Générale, La Banque Postale and Crédit du Nord together. It is now managing 24.5 million cards with its platform.

A strategic partnership between Transactis and Sopra Banking Software
Sopra Banking Cards-Issuer offers an open, flexible architecture and comprises a number of pooled services that benefit all of its customers. These services include a multitude of visuals, a reduction on card production delays, mobile payments, payments without contract and post-personalization.

"The successful deployment of Sopra Banking Cards-Issuer notably rests on its flexibility, functional coverage and its industrial capabilities, as well as its ability to respond to the financial sector's new challenges. The success of this project is the result of a close collaboration between teams of both companies for several years. All Sopra teams were deeply committed to guide our customer and develop a strategic partnership between Transactis and Sopra Banking Software."

For its part, Transactis has benefited from Cards-Issuer to develop its multi-bank and multi-channel platform. "The partnership between Sopra Banking Software and Transactis has allowed us to take into account the needs of all our founding banks as well as pooling their resources to ensure the platform's scalability, readying it for future transaction projects. This, along with our choice for an industrialized solution, has enabled us to drive down costs on both transaction operations, updates and maintenance," says Alain Tuduri, General Manager of Transactis.
