The ASP model of iVestigo's OpsMonitor Service Bureau which is now available via BT Radianz, provides real-time browser enabled dashboards showing the health and availability of business-critical IT systems. OpsMonitor allows financial institutions to reduce operational risk and system downtime by providing real-time visibility and vital technical information to enable accurate problem diagnosis and timely resolution of threats to business-critical IT systems through automatic alerts.
The Automatic Alert Module now includes communication via telephone, e-mail or any wireless device, either by voice or text. The Automatic Alert Module will search via all communication channels and continue to escalate until ownership is taken for the threat or event, ensuring that any problem with business-critical IT systems does not go unnoticed. As a result, OpsMonitor enables financial institutions to comply with the explicit system resilience requirements mandated in MiFID and inherent in Basel II.
Dave Lewis, Technical Director of IT Assurance at iVestigo, said: "OpsMonitor provides business with great visibility into their IT systems and one of the key strengths of our ASP model is that, while the monitoring technology itself is effectively outsourced, all of the control remains with the client business. We strongly believe that the best people to react to a critical issue are in-house, that's why we've increased both the escalation capabilities and communication channels available for our automatic alerts."
