Iris Financial appoints Jorge Vidal VP, sales

Iris Financial, provider of advanced trading and risk management solutions to the world's leading investment firms, today announced the appointment of Jorge Vidal as vice president of sales, based in Iris' New York City sales and client delivery center.

Most recently, Vidal was executive director of sales and business development for Trema Americas, where he was responsible for that firm's most significant North American transactions and client relationships. He was also vice president of global sales, marketing and channel management at Random Walk Computing, where he grew and managed that firm's explosive revenue growth, while expanding their geographical coverage by opening additional regional offices

In addition, Vidal was executive vice president of sales for The Beast. While at that firm, he helped grow The Beast from a start-up into a multi-million dollar enterprise. Vidal also served as senior vice president of sales of technology solutions at Reuters America during its merger with TIBCO Finance. While at TIBCO Finance, Vidal led and managed the Americas sales team that negotiated the largest deals ever transacted in the history of TIBCO Finance. He has also held senior sales roles at Platinum technology and IBM.

Vidal holds a degree from the New York Institute of Technology and has pursued advanced studies at the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania and Harvard University.
