According to Erik Skovgard, who will be LSB's president beginning in 2014, "as the technology our customers and visitors use has changed so rapidly in the recent past, it made sense to have a website that is more accommodating."

The new site leverages technology called "Responsive Design." In short, it means that instead of managing two or three separate sites for computers, tablets, and mobile devices, one site will deliver content based on the device the site visitor is using.

Angela Evans, LSB's digital marketing specialist, notes that "we're far beyond the days of creating 'websites.' Our clients increasingly expect their local community bank to offer the features and functionality once available only from much larger institutions. Our aim is to develop a user experience that is independent of screen size or device, and do so in a manner that carries with it our unique brand of community banking."
